Notre Dame, Ind. - Eric Mahone, who brings nine years of Division 1 collegiate coaching experience, begins his fourth year as the men's and women's tennis coach.

Mahone, originally from South Bend, IN, comes to Holy Cross from the University of Dayton where he was the head tennis coach from 2009-2012. He began his collegiate coaching career as the assistant tennis coach at the University of Chicago in 2003. He was named the University Athletic Association Assistant Coach of the Year during the 2004-2005 season.

Mahone played collegiately at NCAA Div. 1 Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis and was the team captain for three seasons. He graduated from IUPUI in 2000. In 2002, his St. Joseph High School boy’s tennis team finished state runner-up and had a player win the individual state title. In addition to his collegiate coaching, Mahone has also been the Tennis Director of the Five Seasons Sports Club located Cincinnati, OH and Morris Park Country Club located in South Bend, IN.

Eric and his wife Bree reside in South Bend with their son Liam.
