Holy Cross Women’s Tennis Shines with Regional Awards and Community Service Honor

The Holy Cross Women's Tennis team made a powerful statement at the 2025 ITA East Regional Awards, earning both individual recognition and a coveted team honor that reflects their excellence and impact on and off the court.

Junior Viktoria Savvidou was named the ITA Most Improved Player, highlighting her incredible growth and dedication over the past year. Savvidou elevated her game significantly, emerging as a key contributor in both singles and doubles and helping lead the Saints through a strong spring campaign.

First-year standout Sofia Rocha was honored as the ITA Rookie of the Year, a prestigious accolade recognizing her immediate impact on the program. Rocha impressed from the start with her consistency, poise under pressure, and dynamic play, quickly establishing herself as one of the top newcomers in the East Region.

Jamison Geofferys, a rising force on the team, earned the ITA Player to Watch award. With her powerful baseline game and relentless competitiveness, Geofferys has shown the potential to become one of the region's elite players in the coming seasons.

The team's commitment to excellence extended far beyond the tennis courts. The Holy Cross Women's Tennis team was also recognized with the ITA Community Service Award for the East Region. This award honors teams that demonstrate outstanding dedication to community service throughout the academic year. During the 2024–25 school year, the Saints consistently gave back—participating in tennis clinics, supporting campus initiatives, and volunteering at local organizations including Christ the King School, Hannah and Friends, and Cultivate Food Rescue. These service efforts reflect the program's values of compassion, leadership, and connection with the broader community.

With a culture built on growth, leadership, and service, the Holy Cross Women's Tennis team continues to raise the standard—on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.
