Holy Cross Women’s Soccer Celebrates Three CCAC All-Conference Honorees
The Holy Cross College Women's Soccer team achieved significant recognition this season, with three players earning spots on the CCAC All-Conference teams. Freshman Madeleine Agee and sophomore Abigail Fouts were named to the First Team, while junior Neyda Macias earned Second Team honors. This trio's contributions were instrumental in the Saints' successful 2024 campaign.
First Team All-Conference: Madeleine Agee and Abigail Fouts
- Madeleine Agee (Freshman, Houston, Texas – Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart): Agee made an immediate impact in her debut season, proving herself as one of the best goalkeepers in the conference. She was named CCAC Defensive Player of the Week twice, amassing 102 saves and recording six shutouts, five of which came against conference opponents. Starting 19 of the 20 games she played, Agee's steady presence between the posts was key to the Saints securing vital points throughout the season.
- Abigail Fouts (Sophomore, Russiaville, Indiana – Western High School): Fouts showcased her versatility and skill as a defender, starting all 20 games and contributing on both ends of the field. She tallied four goals for the Saints and was named CCAC Defensive Player of the Week once. Fouts' defensive prowess, combined with Agee's goalkeeping, was critical in the Saints' 8 victories this season, six of which came in conference play.
Second Team All-Conference: Neyda Macias
- Neyda Macias (Junior, Ligonier, Indiana – West Noble High School): Macias brought creativity and precision to the Saints' midfield and attack. Starting 16 of the 18 games she played, she contributed three goals and two assists, all during conference matchups. Macias' exceptional ball-handling and offensive vision helped drive the Saints' attack and created scoring opportunities throughout the season.
A Season to Remember
Under the leadership of First year Head Coach Duma Magagula, the Saints delivered an inspiring season marked by teamwork and individual brilliance. With eight wins, including six in conference play, the team demonstrated resilience and growth. The recognition of Agee, Fouts, and Macias reflects not only their talent but also their dedication to elevating the program to new heights.
