Saint's Season Ends in Hard-Fought Semi-Final

In a hard-fought playoff match, the Holy Cross College women's soccer team battled until the final whistle in their semi-final clash against St. Ambrose University. Despite their efforts, the Saints went into halftime trailing 1-0 after St. Ambrose scored with just five minutes left in the half.

The second half saw the Saints continue to fight, but ultimately, St. Ambrose managed to add two more goals, leading to a 3-0 final score. Although the season ended sooner than hoped, the Saints have much to be proud of, and their exceptional performance throughout the season demonstrates the strength and unity of the team. The Saints, who had a remarkable season with 37 goals scored and only 27 conceded, showed resilience and determination on the field.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our graduating seniors—Katherine West, Yamileet Mateo, Jennifer Requeno, Brynn Dauby, and Mary Oberg. Their dedication over the past four years has been invaluable to the Holy Cross College soccer program, and they leave a legacy of passion and sportsmanship for future Saints to follow.

To the rest of the team, the Athletic Department wishes a productive offseason, and we can't wait to see what's in store for next year! A special congratulations and thank you to Coach Duma Magagula on his first season leading the Saints. His leadership has already made a significant impact, and the future is bright for the team with him at the helm.
