Saints tie 1-1 against Saint Xavier

The Holy Cross College women's soccer team faced off against Saint Xavier on the road on Saturday, October 19th, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 tie. After an early goal from Arianna Barreras, assisted by Emma Vono, in the first half, the Saints conceded a goal later in the second half, leaving the match 1-1. The second half left both teams unable to break the tie.

Holy Cross goalkeeper Madeleine Agee showcased her skills, she recorded saving 5 shots during the match, keeping the Saints competitive throughout the game.

Coaches Comments

"Another solid performance from the girls. We managed to score first and that helped stabilize the game a bit. Emma Vono drove down the flank and played a great ball into the box for Arianna to finish. We then gave up another setpiece goal which l thought was too easy in the 2nd half. Maddie with another solid performance in goal. It's great we are earning points in away games." - Duma Magagula

The Saints return to play on October 23rd when they take on Judson at home. Kickoff set for 4:30pm.
