Saints Finish Strong at Holy Cross Spring Invite

Peru, Ind. — The Holy Cross College women's golf team turned in a solid performance at their home-hosted Spring Invite on Monday, April 7, tying for second place out of five competing teams at Rock Hollow Golf Course.

Leading the way for the Saints was freshman Katie Vaughan (Tacoma, WA / Bellarmine HS) , who carded an 89 on the day, continuing her consistent spring form. Jill Daniels (Mishawaka, IN / Penn HS) followed with a 93, while Bianca Huizar (Winamac, IN / Winamac Community HS) posted a 95. Rounding out the lineup was Eva De La Rosa (Addison, IL / Addison Trail HS), who finished with a 108 in the one-day event.

Competing on the challenging layout of Rock Hollow, the Saints held their own against a competitive field, showing both growth and resilience as they head into the latter part of the spring season.

Saints Take 7th at IU Kokomo Spring Shootout

Kokomo, Ind. — The Holy Cross College women's golf team wrapped up play at the IU Kokomo Spring Shootout this past weekend, finishing in 7th place out of 9 teams in the two-day event held at Wildcat Creek Golf Course.

Bianca Huizar led the way for the Saints with rounds of 86 and 87, securing a tie for 17th overall in the individual standings. Jill Daniels delivered a consistent performance with back-to-back rounds of 92, while Katie Vaughan posted a 93 on day one before finishing with a 101 in the final round.

Eva De La Rosa contributed rounds of 96 and 106, and Savannah Payne-Gall ( Portage, IN / Portage HS) rounded out the scoring with 112 and 109 over the two days.

The Saints battled through high winds and a challenging course, continuing to gain valuable experience as they near the end of the spring season.
