1st Quarter: The Saints got off to a slow start offensively, scoring 17 points in the first quarter. They faced early struggles with tough defense from Viterbo. Leading the way in the first quarter for the Saints was La'Bria Austin (Buchanan, MI/ Buchanan HS) with 8 points. Although the saints struggled scoring, they played outstanding defense keeping Viterbo to only 13 points in the first quarter.
2nd Quarter: The same struggle for Holy Cross continued in the second quarter as Viterbo held the Saints to 17 points again. The Saints were down 34-38 at the end of the first half.
