Third Straight Win for Women's Basketball

The Holy Cross women's basketball team continued their non-conference play on the road, taking on the Bethel University. The Saints delivered a strong offensive performance, scoring a total of 68 points to claim a decisive 68-53 victory.

 

The Saints set the tone early, shooting an impressive 62.5% from the three-point range in the first quarter, which gave them a commanding 21-point start. Allie Caldwell (Zionsville, IN / Zionsville HS) contributed 11 points, going 4-6 in the paint and 3-5 from the arch, while Brooke Lindesmith (Crown Point, IN / Crown Point HS) added 5 points with efficient shooting, 2-3 from the field and 1-1 from the 3 point line, to help establish the early lead.

 

In the second quarter, Holy Cross maintained momentum, where Grace Adams (Elkhart IN/ Penn HS) provided a boost with 9 points, and Kayliana Hammel (New Haven, IN/ Bishop Dwenger HS) added 4 points from the field. By halftime, the Saints held a solid lead, totaling 38 points.

 

The third quarter saw the Saints staying aggressive offensively against Bethel University. Grace Adams continued her stellar performance with 6 points and 2 rebounds, while Hammel added another 5 points, 2 from the paint and 1 from the three point line. Holy Cross ended the third quarter with the lead 58-33

 

In the fourth quarter, the Saints finished strong, shooting 100% from the three point line. The Saints were outscored during the fourth quarter however, Bethel University couldn't take the lead they needed to beat the Saints, the game ended 68-53.
