Holy Cross Men's Tennis Earns Multiple Honors at ITA East Regional Awards
The Holy Cross Men's Tennis team capped off an impressive season with a standout showing at the 2025 ITA East Regional Awards, with several individual honors and a prestigious team accolade recognizing their commitment to excellence both on and off the court.
Senior Ciaran McCarthy was named the ITA Most Improved Player, a testament to his relentless work ethic and remarkable development over his collegiate career. McCarthy's senior season saw him elevate his game to new heights, making a significant impact in both singles and doubles play and emerging as a leader for the Saints.
Fellow senior Perry Gregg was honored as the ITA Senior Player of the Year, a recognition of his consistent dominance throughout the season and his contributions to the program over four years. Known for his composure, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship, Gregg has been a cornerstone of the Holy Cross lineup and a model of what it means to be a student-athlete.
Rising star and junior at Holy Cross College, Luca McManus received the ITA Player to Watch award, signaling his emergence as one of the region's top young talents. With a powerful game and a growing presence on the court, McManus is poised to be a key leader for the Saints in the seasons to come.
In addition to these individual honors, the Holy Cross Men's Tennis team was awarded the ITA Community Service Award for the East Region. This award recognizes programs that demonstrate a deep and ongoing commitment to community engagement. During the 2024–25 academic year, the Saints went above and beyond in giving back—participating in local tennis clinics, volunteering with youth programs, and serving at organizations such as Christ the King School, Hannah and Friends, and Cultivate Food Rescue. These efforts reflect the team's dedication to making a positive impact beyond the game.
With a culture built on growth, leadership, and service, the Holy Cross Men's Tennis team continues to raise the standard—on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.
