Men's Tennis Recap at the ITA Cup

The Holy Cross College Men's Tennis team recently traveled to Rome, Georgia, to compete in the prestigious ITA Cup this past week. This tournament showcased some of the top talent in college tennis, and the Holy Cross squad was well-represented with several key rankings heading into the event.

In singles competition, Oscar Wai led the charge for the team, entering the tournament ranked 10th nationally. His powerful play and strategic approach made him a formidable opponent. Teammate Perry Gregg, despite battling an injury, secured a 14th place national ranking, showcasing his resilience and determination to compete. Calvin Golmei rounded out the singles lineup, coming in at 16th, bringing his competitive spirit and skill to the court.

In doubles, the pair of Luca McManus and Perry Gregg entered the tournament ranked 8th in the Nation, demonstrating strong teamwork. Ciaran McCarthy and Calvin Golmei also made their mark, with a solid 9th place national ranking that reflected their consistency and coordination on the court.

The competition was fierce, but the Holy Cross team's rankings reflected their hard work and dedication throughout the fall season. The experience at the ITA Cup was invaluable, offering the players a chance to compete against the best in the nation while also showcasing their talents on a grand stage. The team looks forward to building on this experience as they continue their season!

The Holy Cross College Saints compete in eight intercollegiate sports for men and women.
