Men's Soccer falls to Trinity Christian College

The Holy Cross College men's soccer team took on conference opponent Trinity Christian College at home on Saturday, October 26th, in their final regular season match, ultimately falling 2-1 in a hard-fought game.

The Saints struck first with a goal by Juan Perez, assisted by Nathan Sanchez, putting Holy Cross ahead 1-0. Trinity Christian responded, scoring once to tie the match up in the first half. Holy Cross goalkeeper Sebastian Grimm held strong in the first half, saving 1 of the 2 shots on goal but allowing one goal. Logan Kelly came in for the second half, making 3 saves on 4 shots but conceding the game-winning goal. The Saints put up a strong effort but were unable to secure a win, closing the regular season with a close 2-1 loss. The Holy Cross College Saints are now 5-7-6 (2-3-5).

"Despite the result, our guys were in the entire match. It was our first loss in the 2nd half of the season, so I'm still very proud of our guys. Though we lost the game, we proved that we can compete with the top teams in the conference. We'll sit back and watch where the results place us during our upcoming bye and see where we end up for playoffs." - Omar Gallo
