Saints tie 0-0 against Saint Xavier

The Holy Cross College men's soccer team returned to the pitch Saturday night for another away game vs Saint Xavier. The men's game was nothing short of a hard-fought battle for both teams that left the game ending in a 0-0 tie. Holy Cross College's match against Saint Xavier was a testament to the grit and determination of HC. The game was fierce, with each side showcasing exceptional skill and resilience. Despite the tie, the intensity on display made it a thrilling contest and a great showcase of what is next for Holy Cross' last few games this season. Holy Cross is currently holding a record of 2-2-4 for the conference season.

Sebastian Grimm recorded another clean sheet for the Saints, the second this week.

COACH COMMENTS

"Over the last couple of games, we've stressed the importance of staying discipline on the defensive side, and I felt our guys exemplified that against a very good St. Xavier team. In the attack, I felt we created chances, even having one cleared off the line, but the ball just didn't bounce our way. Though we wanted the win, taking a draw on the road against one of the top CCAC teams is something we can continue to build off. We'll take the point but will need to be ready for the top team in the conference, Judson. Judson is one of the most dangerous attacking teams not only in the CCAC, but the entire country. We'll need to build off our defensive shape and discipline and hope to get a result."-Omar Gallo
