COACH COMMENTS

"Today's game was all about resiliency and really tested our young group. We started the match off slow, but I feel everyone picked it up in the second half. I was interested to see how we would respond after coming off a tough game and to be honest, despite some early mistakes, I am proud of how this group responded. It was another match where our number of underclassmen on the pitch outnumbered our upper classmen. However, it was our upperclassmen who stepped up in the 2nd half when we needed them the most and led our young group to victory. Sebastian played a key role in goal making some great saves, Isa Sayeed anchored the back line, Juan scored two great goals, and Kevin and Ike did the important things defensively up top that allowed us to maintain possession more in the second half. It was great to see everything come together in a match we deserved the result.

We'll take this win, have some much-needed down time, and prepare for another top NAIA opponent next week."-Omar Gallo
