
Marvin Named Head Men's Golf Coach
Notre Dame, Ind. Holy Cross College Athletic Director, Tom Robbins, is pleased to announce the hiring of Matthew Marvin as the head coach of the Saints men's golf program.
Marvin comes to Holy Cross College from the La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana, where he served in numerous coaching and leadership roles. He began at La Lumiere in 2014, where he was the head JV boys basketball coach while being the assistant coach on their national boys team. From 2015-2018, Marvin was the head girls golf coach at La Lumiere, before coaching the boys golf team from 2017-2021. He most recently was the head girl's basketball coach at La Lumiere.
Outside of his coaching at La Lumiere, Marvin was also the Director of Student Activities and Leadership there since 2021. Before that, he served as the Director of Athletic from 2018-2021 and a Student Life Associate from 2016-2018.
Marvin began his coaching career at Morris Park Country Club in 2009, where he was the Assistant Golf Professional. During his time there, he oversaw the junior golf program and assisted the Head Golf Professional with tournament management.
Marvin is originally from Elkhart, Indiana. He currently resides in South Bend with his wife Dr. Lori Risser and daughters Maddie and Mia.

Men's golf will begin their spring season on Friday, March 22 when they compete in the Purgatory Intercollegiate. The two-day event, hosted by Taylor University, will be played at Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Ind.
The Holy Cross College Saints compete in eight intercollegiate sports for men and women. Holy Cross has produced 205 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors and 108 All-Conference members, and five NAIA All-Americans. Founded in 1966, Holy Cross College is a Catholic, residential, coed, four-year institution of higher learning, offering an applied liberal arts curriculum.
