Nash Hostetler Reaches 1,000 Career Points at Holy Cross College
Holy Cross College senior Nash Hostetler has etched his name in the school's basketball history by reaching 1,000 career points. A native of Dublin, Ohio, Hostetler's impressive achievement is a testament to his skill and dedication on the court over the past four seasons.
Hostetler, a graduate of Dublin Coffman High School, has consistently been a key player for the Saints since his freshman year. In the 2021-22 season, he appeared in 28 games, starting in 23, and averaged 9.2 points per game, shooting 34.7% from the field and 33.1% from three-point range. His free throw percentage was solid at 75.7%.
The following season, 2022-23, Hostetler took his game to the next level, playing 29 games and starting all of them. He improved his shooting efficiency, posting 41.3% from the field and 38.7% from beyond the arc. He averaged 9.8 points per game, helping lead the team to important victories.
In the 2023-24 season, Hostetler continued to be a consistent force, averaging 8.4 points per game while contributing on both ends of the floor. He showed resilience with his free throw percentage rising to 68.1%, although his three-point shooting dropped to 32.5%. Despite these challenges, his steady performance helped him maintain his scoring average and solidify his place in the program's history.
Now in the 2024-25 season, Hostetler's journey to 1,000 points has been further fueled by his leadership on and off the court. With 218 points already this season, he remains a focal point of the Saints' offense. Through 26 games, Hostetler is shooting 43.3% from the field, with a 26.3% mark from three-point range, and a free throw percentage of 57.4%.
In total, Hostetler has appeared in 111 games for Holy Cross College, starting 103 of them. His career stats stand at 345 field goals made on 869 attempts (39.7%), 187 three-pointers made on 557 attempts (33.6%), and 117 free throws made on 171 attempts (68.4%). His 1,010 total career points place him among the top scorers in the program's history.
