Saints fall in close game against IUNW

First Half:

The Holy Cross Saints faced a strong CCAC opponent Indiana University Northwest (9-1) at a home matchup in McKenna Arena. The Saints started the game strong, showcasing a strong offensive performance in the first half, scoring 12 points from the field and 15 points from beyond the arc. Justin O'Neal (Dayton, OH / Dunbar HS)  led the scoring effort with 14 points on 7-of-13 shooting overall, including an impressive 2-of-3 from three-point range, and added 7 rebounds. Nash Hostetler chipped in 6 points, going 2-6 from the 3-point line and 3 rebounds.  At halftime, Holy Cross and IUNW were tied 29-29.

Second Half:

The Saints faced a tougher defensive team out of IUNW in the second half. Holy Cross maintained their offensive rhythm, scoring 14 points from the field and 18 points from three-point range. Joey Garwood (Elkhart, IN / Penn HS), Phil Robles ii (South Bend, IN / Purdue Fort Wayne), and Justin O'Neal all stepped up with 9 points, and added 2 rebounds to their stat lines. The second half of the men's basketball game was a nail-biter, but the Saints couldn't come back to beat IUNW. The final score of the game was 73-77
