Saints win against St. Ambrose University

The Holy Cross Saints faced a strong CCAC opponent (6-1) St Ambrose University in an away matchup in Davenport, Iowa. The Saints started the game strong, showcasing a strong offensive performance in the first half, scoring 24 points from the field and 12 ponts from beyond the arc. Phil Robles II (South Bend, IN / Purdue Fort Wayne) led the scoring effort with 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including an impressive 2-of-3 from three-point range, and added 2 rebounds. Aris Duni (Thessaloniki, Greece / Cardinal Stritch) chipped in 6 points, going 2-of-2 from the field and 2-of-3 from free-throw line. At halftime, Holy Cross led 35-30.

Second Half:

The Saints faced a tougher defensive team out of St. Ambrose in the second half. Holy Cross maintained their offensive rhythm, scoring 30 points from the field and 9 points from three-point range. Joey Garwood (Elkhart, IN / Penn HS)  stepped up with 15 points, adding 2 rebounds to his stat line, while Justin O'Neal (Dayton, OH / Dunbar HS) contributed with 9 points. With the second half being tied in points 39-39 from St. Ambrose, the Saints held on to secure a hard-fought victory with a final score of 74-69.
