Graphic Design Major | Elementary Education Minor
Athletics Media Team Member
After five years at Holy Cross College, Nathan Cavazos reflects on a journey full of growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories. A proud graphic design major with a minor in elementary education, Nathan made a lasting impact not just in the classroom—but behind the camera as a key part of the athletics media team.
“Working alongside athletics was a critical move for my career,” Nathan shared. “Even though I wasn’t competing on the field, capturing those authentic, emotional moments from the sidelines made me feel like I was part of something bigger. Seeing both the men’s and women’s teams give it their all—it was inspiring.”
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Nathan became known for his creative eye and passion for storytelling through photography and design. He and fellow student Daya H. formed what many considered the best graphic/photography duo Holy Cross has ever seen.
“I’m incredibly thankful to Kathleen Ming, our Sports Information Director, and Dr. Pastoor our Athletic Director, for giving me the opportunity to grow within the athletic department as a student,” he said. “Their support helped shape the skills I’ll carry with me into the future.”
As Nathan prepares to graduate, he’s actively applying for roles in the competitive world of sports media. While his next step isn’t set in stone, he’s confident and excited about what lies ahead.
“These five years have been amazing. I loved every part of it. Holy Cross has given me the foundation to chase my dreams—and I’m ready for whatever comes next.”
